Finally!

A collective sigh of relief rippled through the Sandynistas at 10:52pm Thursday night November 14. After nearly six months of waiting — we saw the return of Lisa Vidal to ER as Lt. Sandy Lopez. Our weeks of waiting, wondering, and worrying were rewarded with a warm (an understatement!) and fuzzy scene in the ER ambulance bay. This was what I was hoping for...not only did Laura and Lisa give us a wonderful couple who are so obviously very much in love, but the writers did a great job with this scene. I really felt like it was "no big deal" to see Kerry talking comfortably with Susan, glance at her approaching girlfriend while continuing her conversation, and greet Sandy with a hug! This was a wonderful continuation of the evolution we've seen in Dr. Weaver's character since "Bygones".

Being the vocal group we are, I thought it was high time to share our very positive reactions to "Tell Me Where It Hurts".

Peanut41: I have watched the two scenes -- Kerry having the sonogram, Sandy and Kerry in that incredibly beautiful, tender embrace -- at least a dozen times each already. It's such a cliché, but Kerry was positively glowing, both in the sonogram scene and the "We're having a baby" scene. (LI is incredible -- how does she act a glow?) And Sandy -- Lordy, that woman is gorgeous. And the way she looked at Kerry when she was telling Susan their good news -- Her eyes, that smile just said, "God, I love this woman."

WindStar: That first few seconds with LI…she was practically glowing! I am just happy as heck for her...she pulled this off with grace and style.

Treelint: The final scene was sweet in so many ways. Kerry's little pep talk with Susan, Sandy. I loved the way the hug morphed into the walking away with Sandy's arm around Kerry's shoulder and her hand moving to stroke Kerry's hair. Susan's reaction to the news was lovely.

Erised: I didn't count the seconds, and it didn't matter. I am more mesmerized by this couple than I had ever been before, if that's possible! I am beyond mesmerized! It was so obvious that Kerry and Sandy were happy and in love! Sandy has been taking good care of Kerry. There's no question about it!

Angelfish: KERRY AND SANDY! Short scene, but so much chemistry. I loved it!

42olives: The opening scene of Kerry's sonogram was so touching, and it was nice to see Kerry do more medicine. But, of course, there was the important part...Sandy and Kerry together, such sweetness!

Nyackgirl: Kerry and Sandy have great chemistry and look so cute together as a couple that's obviously been together for a while. None of the initial awkwardness. They looked terrific. And Susan was wonderful. I have to say, she's definitely becoming a favorite of mine.

I especially loved the bit with Sandy's arm around Kerry ... the exchange about who should tell Susan. It was beautiful.

SB4283: The last scene with K/S was short, but GREAT! Loved the Kerry/Susan interaction first. Liked how Kerry sort of glanced at Sandy as she was walking up. Glad LV kept her hand on LI after the hug broke. Nice touch. Also, like how Sandy nudges Kerry to interact with others and then supports her through it.

DarlingGirl: I agree with the positives that I've read here -- I just have to say, seeing their eyes light up when they caught sight of each other -- that was IT for me. They are in love. Who wouldn't love these girls??

WeaversFever: Accepting the fact that the K&S storyline will always be "subtle", and we are destined to "blink and you'll miss it" moments AND the moments are of the caliber we saw in Episode 7, then I will not complain. The K&S scene was wonderful...

Juliana: I loved the way they moved together, drawn to each other like two magnets. It was so much more physical than the spoiler indicated, which was beyond nice. I have to agree with those who think it was hot. So hot. Hot because it was filled with anticipation, for them and for us. You could see them hanging on each other's words. Their faces change when the other one is talking. No other couples on the show have that sense of honestly reacting. I can't get enough of how Kerry was talking so intently trying to make Susan feel better, but the minute she caught sight of Sandy approaching she was noticeably distracted.

Could be my overactive imagination, but this is the Kerry and Sandy I feel I know from the fanfic Projects, so maybe the Sandynista mentality has spread beyond our little world. It is so exciting to hear non-Sandynistas are coming around, after last night. Just imagine what this whole season could do! I cannot wait until the next Sandy scene!

VIVA VIDAL and WELCOME HOME!
